"The hotel is a lovely accomodation to stay with everything in place that you need. Our room was quiet as well. It's best if you're out without (your) kids, it's ok for short stays with kids though. But rather a place which you'd choose without kids. The beds are really really comfy, staff is lovely and helpful. There's not too many people in the pub during the week, I think mainly workers who stay there for a couple of days. The area is alright, "Scunny" has a good choice of places to go shopping, a lovely indoor market, a cinema and I believe two theatres. It's only an hour from the sea and as well an hour to cities such as Leeds or York. We definitely recommend the hotel, good offers are in place too, especially for short stays."

"We go into the Royal Hotel on a regular basis . Atmosphere is always welcoming . Clair , the landlady along with Mathew and the girls are so friendly nothing is too much trouble. If you go in you must try the food, especially Sunday lunch , you will not be disappointed ."
