"Prices have gone through the roof. Better value and quality at Dunelm."
"Little expensive but quality products bes mattress tables chair and many more"
"Really great place to shop for great quality furniture and household items at great prices!"
"The only good thing jysk have to offer are the affordable prices for things. However, the hassle and trouble in exchange is not worth it. They sent out a broken wardrobe just before Christmas 2021. We complained immediately. No one got back to us. We rang again being reassured by their staff that they will sort it. No one then got back to us. Again, we rang this time slightly more agitated. They stated multiple times that someone will call us back- no one did! Finally when we were able to sort out a return of the wardrobe at the end of this January, where said they would issue the refund automatically- they didn’t give us our refund! The call doesn’t go through to the store and you’re literally waiting longer than a doctor’s appointment call just to be answered. Not to mention some of the rude staff who cut you off and decide themselves to give the Bolton store “a chance”. How many chances do you need? Fast forward to February now, still haven’t received our refund and we tried lodging a formal complaint for which the staff just said “okay I’ll do that for you but I cannot tell you what I’m writing in the complaint”. What kind of complaint are they writing if we the complainants don’t even know the contents of it? Moral is don’t even bother buying from here unless you’re buying a non faulty item you never plan on returning because they will not help you at all and your money is going to go to absolute waste. It consists of careless staff and a tacky system and this was our first and last time we were ever going to shop from here."
"I've always thought that JYSK was a cheap shop full of 'tat', but I have to hold my hands up and declare that I was wrong. I appreciate that they do sell some "budget" lines which are lacking in quality, but when it comes to bedroom furniture, I have been mightily impressed. Pre-Covid, we bought two bedside cabinets in white/oak and they went together REALLY well and turned out to be well made, sturdy and great value for money. Then we were looking for a set of wardrobes of a SPECIFIC width and our choice was reduced because of that (1500mm). Ikea had some that we liked, but they just had none in stock anywhere in the country. Neither did Argos. JYSK had a set in their Bolton Store for us to examine and we liked what we saw. They said they could deliver a week later which suited us perfectly. A week later we received a text saying our wardrobes would arrive between 10am and 2pm the next day. Great!! But the next day we got a call saying they hadn't arrived :-( They promised us they'd come the week after. ANOTHER week later we received a text saying our wardrobes would arrive the next day. Great!! But the next day we got ANOTHER call saying they hadn't arrived :-( They promised us they'd come the week after. YET ANOTHER week later we received a text saying the items would be delivered the next day. Not believing it of course, we decided to drive to the store and get them to PHYSICALLY CHECK the warehouse to make sure the wardrobes were there. The staff member went into the back and returned saying "Yes". The next day we got a call saying the items hadn't arrived!!! I drover down to the store again and confronted the guy who had checked in the warehouse the previous day. He turned around and told us he'd never confirmed that the items were in stock! I was flabergasted and ANNOYED AS HELL! He was basically calling me a liar. Another member of staff calmed me down and told off his colleague for arguing against a customer. Anyway, the wardrobes FINALLY arrived and I built them the next weekend. Putting the delivery farce to one side (and the bare-faced lying staff member, GRRRR), I have to admit that these wardrobes (SATTRUP Range) are absolutely FANTASTIC value for money. Not only are they VFM but they're also really, really great wardrobes! The materials, fittings, finish and construction are second to none! If I'd have spent two or three times the amount at a rival store (or what I would previously have thought to be a higher quality store), I would NOT have got anything better than these! Honestly. I bought two of these double wardrobes and it was hard work building them because the panels are big and heavy. It's really a two-man job, not one man and a petite lady, lol. I was extremely pleased with how everything went together and the finished product looks superb IMHO. Did I mention the Value For Money??? A week or so later, I returned to the store and picked up a LIMFJORDEN chest of drawers from a very pleasant staff member who was VERY polite and helpful (an altogether different experience). The chest of drawers was (again) a DREAM to go together and I was incredibly impressed by the build and quality of this item. First class!! It all looks fabulous. And it's all VERY sturdy and cost us less than £400! If JYSK could just sort out these ridiculous delivery farces and improve their communications skills, their profile in the marketplace would be raised dramatically. But as long as a 'blind text' continues to be sent out telling customers that their items will be delivered the next day (when they've not even arrived at the local store), the system is going to continue to cause massive frustrations and disappointments. And lets not even talk about trying to ring your local store!!!!!!! Tom McQuiggan (BOLTON)"
