"At the Goswell visa centre today, I had a wonderful experience. My appointment was on time, and everyone was really helpful and kind. Although I was missing two of the necessary documents, the staff was incredibly helpful in explaining everything and assisting me in resolving the problem online. They also offer printing services at a fair price. Check all the paperwork as well before (there were a lot of people who needed to print some documents or make a photo). It's a really busy location with lots of customers, yet the staff is still nice, so I'm extremely grateful for those that work there."
"The queue was long outside but we all moved through with a positive attitude. 1 hour wait from appointment time. BUT all the staff were excellent. Working hard with smiles and pro active. Yes it took a while but a lot of people applying. Could be better system (bring back e visa maybe). But go with positive mindset and don’t join in with too many negatives. Everyone trying to do a good job. Let’s hope visas come though."
"My experience for tourist visa and the service was fast if you be in there on time with full documents. The visa centre was clean, the staff was helpful while security desk, document control and counter areas. The is a photo service available and someone checked our photos to make sure. Also, there are some computers and printers to print your extra files faster than going out. Keep in your mind to bring some cash which is much more faster than card. Overall, very happy with the service. The only problem to find an appointment."
"Expect to wait a while. I reached for 11.30 appointment at 11.00, didn't get into the building until 12.50. Apt only system. Unfortunately the staff do not keep the applicants in the queue informed too well so some people end up gathering at the entrance, and some people queue. The staff did come out to call out appointment times but you couldn't hear if you were at the back of the queue or round the corner. Otherwise it was ok. Once you are at the door you have another half hour and you will be out if it's a straight forward tourist visa. The website to book appointments is absolutely awful. Luckily I emailed the Indian high commission and they replied to me within two days with a link to book the appointment for a few days later. I think I got lucky. It's a very frustrating system. I understand it was e-visa previously and hope they bring that back !!!"
"All, I have read all the negative reviews on Google I was assuming I was going to get a very poor service from Indian Visa & Consular Application Centre at 142-148 Goswell Rd., London EC1V 7DU. But on my day of visit I had a pleasant surprise. I was able to queue and the reception checked the form / passports and provided the check lists for UK and Non-UK passport holders. Please find my photos for the checklist. It’s a shame the Counsellor website doesn’t publish this list. Me and my wife didn’t have few documents, but they had a PC with internet access and a printer attached. I was able to pay £3 for the services and was able to print all the documents required (specially for my wife who is a non-UK passport holder) They have a copier and provide photo copies for 50p per copy. The time we took the checklist and the number we had plenty of time to print and arrange the documents. I must thank for the reception gentleman (Named Frank). Frank was very helpful with everyone he advised and helped. I’m happy to provide reference to Frank for a pay raise for his excellent customer service. Then the counter staff was very good and prompt on their service. We did all and get out of the building and I was able to over all these within my half a day of my work. I was able to see some are coming with no preparation and not making an appointment or having the form printed. So I would advise to fill the application form and get the printout and make an appointment & I’m sure you will get treated as me."
