"Great pub. Haven't been in for a while and had a lovely couple of drinks with the wife before a meal. Great atmosphere in there, and it was only 5.30!! Beer was kept well and a great selection of ales. Staff were really friendly as well. A great start to our date night!!"
"Went Christmas day lunchtime. Lovely pub , lovely atmosphere but barman( think it was landlord) was very abrupt and lacked patience with my son in law who was visiting me and first language is not English. Very sad because he enjoyed trying the different ales served here"
"Went in my my partner at just after 1. There were only 2 other people in, yet the lady behind the bar still made us feel like the last thing she wanted to do was serve us. I've never felt so unwelcome or such an inconvenience before in a pub. I was so close to just doing an about turn but I didn't want to upset the Mrs. So I ordered our drinks and cobs and we went and sat by the window. The beer was OK, nothing spectacular, but the cobs were ace. I love Black country ale pubs normally, but my goodness me, please great your customers pleasantly. Especially if they're new. We'll stick to the Severn stars and other friendlier pubs in future."
"Went, in for a drunk, game of darts. I found the landlady, landlord to be very friendly. The selection of real ales, were of top quality. My son and myself, opted for a 5% pale ale, this was actually fantastic condition, beautifully crafted, poured well from the pull."
"Part of the Black Country Ales brand. Nicely furnished with real fire and clean throughout. Sport on the tv and radio in the background. I enjoyed a Jennens ale and hard scratchings for £4.85. I wanted to get a card for the ticking off each of the pubs 8n the chain, but was told not available until the new year. Certainly worth visiting"
