"Went to the big DiY shops but wasn't impressed. Called in at Axfords on a Saturday morning, staff were lovely, was given advice by Martin (owner), took a little time to show us stock in warehouse (not on display yet). Also had a list of joiners that they recommend. No hard selling. Rang Steve (off said list) he called round, measured up & quoted for entire job (9 solid internal doors). Price was very acceptable, all 9 doors ordered to shop, trimmed in shop & expertly fitted in my house in 2 weeks. Steve pretty much project manged the job, we picked the doors & hardware at home from the brochure, the shop dropped a text when they were in stock & paid with card over phone. Stephen in shop kept us up to date with where the order was up to. We only actually visited shop once, would definitely recommend & use again."

"I have got timber from here before to make a wall mount for a projector screen, they cut to to the point and it worked perfectly. I also asked them if they would cut a IKEA unit for me today to customise it and they did that. Really good local friendly and helpful firm. Definitely recommend."
"I just went to get a quote for a kitchen but left after 5 minutes. At 4:15 an employee has told me 'we are closing soon' they close at 5. 45 minutes would be enough for a good sales person to show around and at least talk about their product. He looked at my plan and said I would need to leave it because he is on his own and can't do it now. There was no other customers at the time and my plan is only for a small kitchen . Overall he looked like he wasn't bothered."
