"Halal food Free parking after 7pm outside Duck was nice and rich in flavour but very oily. But very good portion. Calamari was decent. But no sauce given. When asked was given mayonnaise and the standard sweet chilly sauce. Beef in black bean sauce best i had Egg fried rice big portion tasted decent had a richer flavour but again tasted oily If i do go again maybe for dumplings or play it safe with the sweet sour chickens etc the taste will be really good. You can tell the food had authentic and richness about it. Some may find it too rich or oily. Maybe a little overpriced. I would score it a low 4."
"Really great to see a good Chinese restaurant back in Upper St. The meal was excellent.. authentic and there was a good atmosphere there. Don't expect the world from this establishment, but enjoy it for what it is. Had to take one star off of this report due to the fact that being a v cold night in London the room was really cold . I do appreciate that there is a cost of living crisis/price going on, but it would have been nice if they would have made the environment more warm and welcoming. That said do try their Won-Ton soup... delicious! £25-30 per head"
"Very enjoyable! I stepped in for a quick bite and ordered the prawn dumplings (which is advertised on the front window and what had originally drawn me in, having walked by and seeing it the night before) as well as the crab xio long bao, which although it had a little more ginger than I would have liked, the soup inside was delicious. I came right after opening, and it was relatively slow, but service was fantastic. My server didn't want to bother me but continued to keep an eye on my table the entire time I was there, happily making a recommendation when asked. They also have what looks like a full menu for beer and wine but I just had a coke."
"Heard about this new restaurant, which only opened in June... Dim sum served with traditional Hong Kong dishes. Although the Cheung fun isn't served after 5pm. More high end, good location. Ordered the chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, ox sauce chicken feet and bean curd wrap. Washed down with jasmine tea. Quick service, at £9.80 for a plate of rice, I expected it to be top notch but to my disappointment there were burnt black bits in the rice, tasted it too, think it might be from the wok. But as soon as I raised it, they immediately rectified it. Loved the veg with the sweet and sour chicken, crisp and crunchy. Good sized portions too. There's also roasted duck and roasted char siu served at the front of the restaurant. Overall a lovely meal with pleasant staff. Would recommend."
"We had dinner here which was great. The dishes were very flavourful, in particular the lamb chops, which were a good size. The dandan noodles were also a nice portion and delicious. We also enjoyed the desserts. The one sad thing was the lack of scallops and banana crumble, but we hope to be back for dim sum at some point!"
