"Some of the best Chinese i have had"
"Great food. Excellent service, great value. Cannot be beaten anywhere.. I work all over the country. This is the best local 'chippy' there is."
"A fav of mine yet often over-looked by many. Friendly service from the lovely lady at the front counter ( I think her hubby does the cooking). I ordered Sweet & Sour Special ( Chicken, Pork and King Prawn in a light batter, in sauce) with boiled rice (total £6.50) And.... 3 Meat Special Fried Rice (Beef, Chicken & Char Sui) (also £6.50) Prices are competitive & the portions are large ( I always pop my boiled rice container into the fridge to eat the next day). The meat is always tender & tasty and the king prawns are the real deal. The menu is extensive, with most of the usual favourites on there."
"Ordered prawn chow mein and chips, and clearly made up of leftover chicken chow mein! Ended up in bin as I don't eat chicken! and it was obviously recooked and disgusting. In response to your response I 100% ordered this from you please see attached your phone number and the time and your writing on the order. If you like I can bring it all back to you to prove it??"
"On a positive note the food we ordered was correct, hot and ready to collect at the time specified. We could not fault the sui mai, fried rice, beef and green pepper in black bean sauce and chicken curry. They were tasty and not over salted. The prawn crackers were crispy and light, but lacked flavour. Chips were okay. The negatives were with the prawn sesame toast, it was chewy and lacked flavour. Salt and pepper ribs tasted great, but very small ribs and barely any meat on them. The worst food we received was my daughter's choice, prawn chow mein. The noodles were claggy, sticky, overcooked and very dark with soy sauce. The prawns had a very strong fishy flavour. It was very unpleasant. I would say the Lucky House is not bad value, but some of the food is hit and miss. Not the best Chinese food we have had, but not the worst either. About average."
