"I have had this car from new. When I got it BMW told me that Apple Car Play would be a £1500 extra that had to be fitted at the factory. Fast forward to a few months ago, the onboard Satnav proved on many occasions to be far inferior to Google Maps. I decided that I needed better maps so went about looking at ways to do so. My first port of call was Connected Drive (BMW) they told me it couldn't be done but I noticed it was available on their Store for £265. I was also annoyed as for some reason I couldn't add a payment method as I was considering just buying the map updates. I rang them back and pointed this out and that Apple Car Play Preparation was available for my car on their Store. I was told that a Wi-Fi antennae would need to be installed. I asked Halliwell Jones who refused to fit it. I arranged for Williams to do it but they rang me on the day saying they couldn't (wouldn't do it). Bavarian Auto were slow in responses and (maybe it's me) I got the impression they weren't sure. I then tried German Modifications. Ray (London) was helpful but their guy in Manchester was impossible to get hold of. I reasoned that if he couldn't answer the phone he was either too busy (good) or too disorganised (bad). I decided to keep looking. MAK coding only got back to me the day I got it fitted by N R Coding (a week after I contacted them) offering me the same job for £100 less. However, I was really impressed by Nooman who struck me as incredibly knowledgeable and took great care to look after the interior of my car while he fitted the antennae. My phone is ancient (6S+) but he took time to make sure it worked - I'm glad I specified full screen. I am so pleased. Fast customer service, easy to get to as a couple of easy miles off Junction 17 and convenient as Starbucks and Asda are a short walk away. Nooman likes to be left to get on with it. I am happy with price paid as the service was excellent and I reason that if people can't get back to you they may not be able to provide the service advertised."
