"Not a bad little place. Booked last minute due to train cancellations and location was spot on for what I needed. Was greeted by friendly staff who explained things in detail to me and made me feel safe which for a solo girl traveller is important. Bed was comfy and the room was warm. You get what you pay for. Somewhere I would stay again and visit for a few drinks next time I'm in Manchester"
"Great service great staff, always warm and inviting. Alex is a brilliant guy always up for a chat and a laugh. Hospitable staff who enjoy joining in with a joke or two. Great pint of dark fruits best i have had. Clean and friendly enviroment."
"Great pub with good choice of drinks, including Beavertown. Outdoor seating area in summer, a pool table in a separate room, and a dance floor for certain times. Only issue we found was there was a very loud speaker right above the table we were sat at so it was very hard to hear."
"Decent pub. The staff were amazing, the drinks affordable. I went there to watch a band play live. Steady stream of customers, they have a beer garden. Nothing posh just your regular pub. If I lived in Manchester I would definitely go there regularly and support them as you can see they are trying to make something nice of the place and they in turn support local bands by organising gigs and stuff. I enjoyed my time there and I have nothing bad to say about the place. My only advice would be a refurb but in this economy it's easier said than done. Keep up the good work though ..."
"If there was a -1 review, I'd give it! To say it was dirty, would be an understatement. Not just the room itself but the hallways as well which were also packed with dirty laundry and don't even get me started on the bathroom facilities! When I tried to rinse out the shower a little before getting in, the water wouldn't drain and the filth would just swim around in there. I gagged. Needless to say I didn't get in. Other guests leaving their stuff laying around, toothpaste stains in the sink and the last time someone mopped the floor was probably 1999. The hallway smelled incredibly bad and when trying to get out, there was a trashcan blocking the only exit. No information for check out and by 11am there was still nobody to be seen, so I just left the keys in the door. Oh yeah, and even though that bar downstairs where check in was happening was open till 1am, I still had to pay a ten pound fee for checking in after 7pm. If my flight hadn't come in that late (00:30), I would have left right after seeing the conditions everything was in, demanded a refund immediately and went somewhere else."
