"A very good Green King pub with a fair selection of real ale incl guest beers. Paulicarus went for Wadworth 6x. Good pub food makes this a popular place for families. A beer garden out back makes a great summer destination."
"Thank you to Finn & attentive staff. We had a lovely Christmas Day meal. Good was good and piping hot. Lovely pub and excellent staff. Will definitely be back."
"Ordered two kids meals with main, side and dessert for £4.99. The desserts never came and when questioned the Manager had put the meal through as just a side and main which worked out at the same price, £4.99. The Manager would not then honour the desserts. Also, the deep-fryer was broken."
"What a nice pleasant Pub. Met a friend here for dinner, and was greeted nicely with friendly staff. Phone network was not good there (not their fault) which meant we ordered at the bar instead of the App - Which is quicker, easier and friendlier anyhow. Food was good, great value for money, another reviewer stated overpriced, this was £12 for a plateful of well cooked and tasty chicken. Some people expect 5 star hotel food and pub prices. All in all, a typical Pub, yes there may be some beer stains on the carpet or a lick of paint is needed somewhere, you just need to remember it is a pub, not a restaurant. And therefore has a much better atmosphere."
"Nice old building and a good selection of beers. Food however is overpriced and of poor quality. When it did finally arrive the mixed grill consisted of those cheap sausages you get at a burger van, rubbery chicken and overcooked onion rings. Steak was tough and over cooked. They asked how I wanted my steak at till, I said rare. The only thing fresh on the roast was the broccoli. The macaroni cheese tasted bland (maybe from a tin?) served with a dry unambitious side salad. Had to ask the waitress 2 times for our sauces. Rosemary salted chips came without the rosemary salt. The toilet was grubby and mouldy with a cracked toilet. Don’t bother eating here if you have the choice. They obviously don’t have any trained kitchen staff."
