"Very bustling and vibrant atmosphere with super friendly and attentive staff, ate here on a last minute whim and did not regret it! I will say that in general, everything was on the sweeter side and in my opinion lacked some salt and acid, but at the same time we appreciated the quality and flavors and didn't feel it ruined it by any means. Plus, the beet and ox tongue salad was one of the best things I ate this trip, the desserts were superb, wine choices are funky but fun, and it's not overly expensive."
"I've been here more than 8 times now but it's one of my top places to eat in London for brunch, lunch and dinner. This time, I went for a mid week lunch and between the two of us, we shared the gorgonzola croquette, marinated mussels, burrata with artichoke and copa, squid ink tagliatelle and the hake. Everything was delicious. I'm always keen to come back as they have a changing menu and the atmosphere is chilled. Staff are always generally friendly and helpful."
"Don’t be deceived by the photos on their website, this is a small space better suited to a cafe, not a restaurant. Seating is cramped and you can’t help but overhear the person next to you, better still everyone seems to feel this is a social space so expect plenty of butt squeezing past your glass of Pinot. Let’s move on to the food, which as other reviews point out is small, but that’s ok, what was worse was it was all pretty bland and disappointing. We had the squid which really didn’t suit its barely cooked red pepper partner and was frankly chewy. Next came “game ragu” (we’re not allowed to know which wild animal). To be fair the pasta was nice, obviously home made and cooked perfectly. However the meat was dry and tasteless (like crumbled cardboard), not sure the chef tasted this on the way out as a touch of seasoning would have at least helped slightly. Lastly duck confit which was complimented well by parsnip purée and slightly underpickled red cabbage. Overall a disappointing experience in a cramped environment better suited to coffee and croissants. It feels like it doesn’t really know what it wants to be, but fine dining it is not. (To be fair the restaurant removed the game Ragu from our bill after our feedback)."
"The reason I am giving only three stars it is because it was the first time I have visited this place and I was just looking for a place for a quick coffee break. After I was inside I have got the vibes that this is more of a Restaurant/bar and I personally wouldn't recommend for just a coffee stop. In other situation, for a meal or maybe a couple of drinks I would might give a higher rating. Still, I thought it was a nice place."
"Gorgeous building, cute decor and good vibes inside, excellent service and one of the best brunches and coffees I've ever had. The service was amazing from start to finish, everyone was so attentive and they even gave us a complimentary treat at the end just because we raved about how delicious the brown butter tarts were. I had the fried duck egg with black pudding and mushrooms which was divine as well. Honestly one of the best meals and dining experiences I've ever had."
