"I love this store, lovely clothes and layout, lots of bargains. My only issue is that the self scan that they insist on is very complicated. You have to take your own tags off etc, essentially do what the person on the till is trained to do. There only one manned till which you are deterred from using and all of the self scan stations are card only. Ethically I disagree with this and refuse to use them, as they’re taking people’s jobs away. Sorry, I don’t support that and it’s just Matalan trying to save money unfortunately. My opinion of Matalan which over the years has been high has just shot down."
