"Staff are brilliant. I'm vegan and gluten free, and this is a regular high st caff. They checked their veggie sausages for allergens, even going so far as to ring the supplier because they weren't listed. When the food arrived it was exactly as expected. I also appreciated the fact that there is no radio or blaring music, very unusual nowadays and very welcome."

"Village cafe priorities have changed, focus on takeaways more than dining in customers. Ordered breakfast at 10:22am, on second cup of coffee and still breakfast at in sight. No apology or explanation for delay. Been coming here since 2005 and has always been great service but not today!!!!!!!!"
