"Food was delicious really enjoyable! However the customer service we experienced tonight was the worst I have experienced in any restaurant I have been to in the southeast. When we asked for our bill he slapped the dish on the table! We won't be going back, really need to work on customer service!"
"The food was lovely, we got very lucky to get in because it was very busy and we didn’t know we had to book a table. However, I don’t blame them because it was a Friday night and everyone was going out in the evening time. This was my second time here and I loved it, I had carbonara and my fiancé had something else. For dessert I had this chocolate dessert which was amazing and I would definitely order it again and he had something like a cheesecake which was amazing too. The previous time when I came here was with my mom and I ordered the same main and as dessert a tiramisu which I to be fair didn’t like that much but that may be just me because I don’t exactly like alcohol and for me it seemed like too much compared to the previous ones I tried but overall was good. My mom also enjoyed her dishes very much and the pizza was lovely. Would definitely come back again. The prices are quite high but at the same time what else could you expect from a restaurant which is popular and serves tasty food, so I think that the money payed is worth the food. It isn’t too expensive and isn’t too cheap either."
"Visited Rochester Castle today and after a walk we decided to give Don Vincenzo a go. Were given table outside and they had heaters, nice for the chilly afternoon. Service was a bit rude to be honest, expecially the gent serving us. Actually we had 4 or 5 pp coming to the table for various things but we saw him at the bill paying stage again. Where he had to be reminded not to include the chips we had on the bill, we didn't order. My flat white came half spilled, and I got given fork and knife for my spaghetti. Food was an average for the prices. We had pizza, spaghetti, plain pasta and lasagne, plus garlic bread, brocoli and potatoes. Didn't have any dessert so cannot comment. For sure would not come back again."
"We love coming here, been frequenting for years. The food has always been delicious, the staff have always been friendly. The menu has changed a bit in the last few years, but that's to be expected, and the old favourites are still on there. This is one of few true authentic Italian restaurants and a true gem of an establishment in Rochester."
"The mozzarella garlic bread was absolutely divine! And so were all the other starters. However they lost a star as when ordering the server (white t-shirt) kept trying to make me eat the dish (carpaccio) with elements I didn’t like. Being a fussy eater this frightened me a little, as well as being told I could only order certain sides to go along with the dish to compliment it. When I’m going to a restaurant I like to choose what I’m going to eat and how. And much to my disappointment the dish was brought out with all the elements I had asked to be removed. I told the waiter (wearing a black top) he asked the kitchen and there wasn’t much he could do about it as he hadn’t taken the order, completely understandable however the restaurant wouldn’t change it all. The only other thing was that all dishes were super oily, but everyone knows Italians love their oil. But all other meals were divine. The desserts were spectacular and the reason why this review has 4 stars! The melt in the middle chocolates soufflé is a must!"
