"Lovely little cafe, had a walk in the park with my family then found the café very friendly and warm, staff are many adults with learning difficulties which was so lovely as my youngest son has Downs syndrome. Food was good and the coffee was hot, my son enjoyed the freely available paper and pencils"

"We booked out the cafe for our staff well-being day and ordered afternoon tea for the bargain price of £4 a head. I honestly thought it was a typo! The food was fantastic, especially the cake, a great selection and portion, absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and professional and made our lunch really enjoyable. Thanks so much"

"Very pleasant and cosy little cafe perched at the top of the hill in Vernon Park. Small but difficult cent range of hot and cold food and drink options, and really quite reasonably priced which was a surprise. Got 4 drinks, a sandwich, and two potions of chips and it all came to under £9. Coffee was decent enough (real coffee not instant), the sandwich was prepacked but obviously freshly made: thick slices of cheese with lettuce tomato cucumber and onion. All looked very fresh, no tired browning lettuce and this was a Sunday. Chips were catering grade, but served hot and you got plenty. There is a shop underneath hut this appears to be shut on a Sunday. Toilets, limited facilities but they are clean which is most important. Overall, impressed although it's a shame its no dogs inside as the park is very popular with dog walkers."
