"Was a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and well made. We sat out the rear in the covered beer garden, which was warm where the heaters were. Later we sat in the pub to continue our lovely evening. The pub appears to be mullet-inclusive, which was nice."
"Had an amazing lunch of slow roasted ox cheek and potatoes and veg with pineapple and baked ice cream for dessert. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever tasted. We will be back thank you for the excellent service and friendly warm welcome."
"What a Gem of a find! A lovely suprise when you first walk in and are led to the rear garden. Ample seating, opposite the Bear pit, where your food is freshly prepared! All i can say is WOW! lovely staff, very friendly, and proper good tasty food!"
"A great little gastropub. Not local and stumbled on it by chance after a couple of others we tried were fully booked for Sunday lunch. Good service throughout. I might of been tempted to mark it down a star as there was only one vegan option - which I ordered - but it was really good. If I wanted to be picky it was perhaps a little heavy on the oil, maybe slightly less and some fresh vegetables with it would of been better."
"What an amazing find this was! Stopped here for lunch on the way up north and it was the best decision of the weekend. Super friendly staff, very quick service and extremely tasty food. Very happy indeed and looking forward to returning. 3 course meal for 2 with drinks for about £60 was a lovely surprise too!"
