"Over priced and tiny portions. The service is great, staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great as well. But, the food let down. I liked how they combine the flavours, and the presentation of the food on the plate. The King's prawn head is bland, I would not order ir again, and I don't recommend it. The other plates we had were tasteful, but not filling, everything is very small and expensive for the size of it. I will not return, and I don't recommend it to anyone."
"I don't even know where to begin, because the food was an absolute dream! Having lived in Japan myself, I expected the "traditional" dishes when reading the menu. But all dishes came with a little delicious twist - almost like fusion kitchen! The Tempura Octopus was so tender, it almost melted in my mouth. Even the side pickles were really tasty! The fried tofu with its basil-oil dip was a little piece of heaven! As the main dish, I ordered Gyudon and expected thin slices of beef with onions and soy sauce, but it was beef shin. Unexpected and super delicious! Also, the staff was really friendly, which isn't a given nowadays. I can totally recommend this place - go and try out as much as possible, because I feel that each dish is worth the visit :-)"
"What a great service we got. Amazing staff! We had varied opinions on the food. We did not enjoy the pickled plums but I guess that is an acquired taste. The braised pork was delicious and so were the marinated mushrooms. The chicken wings were nothing special, quite bland. We ordered the duck hearts and we all liked them very much. As mains we had 3 Niku Great taste, sweet broth, amazing noodles and a bit portion of beef shin. However 1 of the bowls had a lot (a lot) of fat. We also ordered the venison broth. While the flavour was good there was almost no deer at all to eat. Just 2 or 3 tiny bit that were so small that could be swallowed even without chewing."
"Customer service: Very welcoming lady, very quick to assist. Food: The food was not exactly what I was expecting. I ordered the curry rice, and I was surprised to find whole uncut vegetables underneath. The sauce was not unbearable but I wouldn't say its worth £11.20. I found the portions to be on the smaller side and were not as filling. The side miso soup was quite salty. Interior: Everything is kept clean and organised. I really appreciated that. Heat lamps are installed in place if you chose to sit outside when it's cold."
