"I used to live across the road on City Rd from NEW JUMBO Chinese Takeaway back in 2004. Fast forward 18 years, I came back to have another Meal For One, one last time! (or may be a Dinner Box)... At least I was going to grab a few Pork Balls for the road! Number #1 buffet is dead and buried. Jumbo (the one in town) has been renamed. NEW JUMBO still stands tall and proud! When times got you down, you felt the world was against you or you even needed to line your stomach before a big night out, then New Jumbo always had you covered! They even let you swap the soup on the meal for one. Those were the best of times! Today, I rekindled some of those cherished memories!"
"This was the worst Chinese meal I have ever been served....the shredded beef was slimey, foul smelling, tasteless and totally inedible! The salt and pepper options had no salt or peppers and the curry sauce couldn't be called a sauce as the consistency was like water! So disappointing as we tried this place based on a recommendation."
