"Couldn’t decide where to go to decompress after a long week and walked past this place so decided to give it a try. The beer selection was phenomenal and we were very happy with the choices we made. The staff were friendly and I love the atmosphere - not too rowdy and you are able to talk normally without having to shout at one another. The food was ok. Was definitely impressed with the runny yolk in the scotch egg but to be honest, if I wasn’t told that it’s duck, I’d never have been able to tell. It was like any other meat and for the price, I kind of expected it to be a little better. However, a good bar snack nonetheless to go with a couple of good pints."
"Great selection of Purity craft beer to sample, tasting flights available and some guest beers on tap too. Food is delicious, which makes for a good evening out."
"Excellent beer and food! Full range of their own beers and a few guest beers. I enjoyed all four I tried (a half and three thirds): a perfect West Coast IPA called Longhorn, low-alcohol Bunny Hop cask pale ale, Mad Goose cask pale ale and for dessert, the Fixie Nitro stout. The crispy tofu burger is great (better than a BeyondMeat patty for vegan option!) and so is the charred garlicky broccoli (better than fries!). Good service, good food, good beer."
"Excellent selection of a wide range of beers, each with labels as to which is vegan and/or gluten free. I was able to talk to the very knowledgeable staff and really pinpoint which drink was right for me. It's not the cheapest place to drink, but if you're into craft beer this is not new to you. The only real downside was that I was quite cold. Possibly because it was quieter than usual. I did not order food so cannot comment in this regard."
"We first came here in 2014 and the size of the food portions has decreased dramatically since then. The iconic scotch egg for £8 was definitely smaller (and the egg was undercooked with runny egg white) and the presentation was also a let down. My burger was the biggest disappointment though - would you pay £15 for this? It doesn't even come with fries! We made a two hour trip to Birmingham by train for a celebration lunch - I doubt we'll bother again."
