Reviews
"Found this place based on reviews. We were visiting London for the weekend and wanted to check out Soho. We didn't make reservations and the wait was insane. We ended up being seated at 9:30 pm on Saturday night. The food was pretty good. The ox heart laap was very spicy but flavorful. Cumin beef skewer was amazing. The mackerel salad and reddish salad were great too. The glass noodles was a little underwhelming but still tasty. The best part is the vibe. Love the bar seating. It's cozy and intimate. y I love that you can watch food being prepared from the kitchen."
"I loved the elegant simplicity of this place. Good produce, cooked well, and with respect for Thai/Burmese/Laotian flavours. Plates are small, but reasonably priced. Each little dish packs a punch, as it should with the bold flavours from this region. Staff are friendly without being pretentious. I think what sets Kiln apart is its authenticity. This little restaurant has a reassuring sense of what it is, which makes it even easier to fall in love with it."
"For budget conscious people this is a very good restaurant. You get a decently small portion, and it’s very important to make a reservation. The spicy ones are very very spicy and adds a lot of kick. Even my brother who can eat almost any spice started dying. The menu is well crafted and the meat has a smoked taste. Very cozy and the vibe is good. It’s not loud, but it’s not quite like one suitable for a date. The food arrived a little bit late. I think that the overall vibe of this review is that it’s good for the price, but there’s still some aspects it can improve on."
"Amazing experience. Sit at the counter (walk ins only) and watch the skilled chefs prepare the food over the charcoals. The food is fantastic. Some dishes are a little spicy (which is exactly what I wanted) so watch out if you're sensitive to that. The drinks are tasty too, especially the mezcal one. Had an absolute blast here and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who enjoys food and/or fun ☺️"
