"We ordered two garlic naans, 1 chicken dish and 1 plate of rice. The food had good taste. I visited the restaurant a little time ago with my friend. We had searched it online but when we went to the place we couldn’t find the restaurant, we called them and they took us to another nearby Indian restaurant and said that this is attached to that other restaurant. Both were indian and halal so we went in. There were burning candles on all the tables but there was no other customer around when we went inside. We chose a table and all the tables were very close to the wall so we did a little but struggle to get in. The owner of the restaurant starting telling us story about why they have two restaurants listed on google maps. We didn’t ask for it and were not interested but he still told us all the story. Then we asked for menu and we were thinking about what to order and the server came to ask and asked if we would like papadum. We thought it was a bit weird but we said no and after some time we asked him to take the order. We told him we want 1 chicken dish and two naans with diet cokes. He looked surprised and kept pushing us to order more. He said this is not enough for two people. We kept telling him for about 1-2 minutes that we only want this but he was very insistent. Then I got fed up abd asked if he could just bring these or not. He said yes he could and then he left. After some time one other customer came and he ordered something. About 20-30 min later we got our food and it was enough for us two and we realised that maybe they don’t get enough customers that’s why they wanted us to order more. The food was good but at the end they didn’t give us a proper receipt. It was a handwritten receipt and that too they gave us when we asked for it and we paid by card. Later on when we got home and checked the receipt all the things written were not readable. It was very bad writing and we figured out they charged us some 4.5 pounds extra other than service charges. It was a very bad experience even though the food was good. I will never go to this restaurant again."
"Not sure if eating in is a better experience but compared to other indian takeaways nearby my delivery was very average. The korma was not a creamy sauce, more like an oily/gelatin vibe and the portion was on the small side. Onion bahjis ok, but delivered in a box which made them soggy. Will not be trying again unfortunately."
"MUST eat here! Great food, I’ve tasted many, many different curries over the years and this place has the best. 100% The lamb curry and the fish curry was stunning, absolutely tantalising. Such nice people too!"
"Wow. New ownership but the same exquisite taste and lovely experience. Food was so delicious, very well priced and filling. Staff were lovely and friendly. The only sad thing was that not more people were in there despite everywhere being booked on the high street. Please support this local business and book with them. You won't regret it. :)"
