"A bit off the beaten track, but well worth the effort. Very tasty food, excellent service, very good value for money Mar 2023 update Still a fantastic experience"
"Visited for drink, got a very warm friendly welcome. GreenKing IPA beer. Bar area had couple of tables with conservatory one side and restaurant the other. Large car park. Covered outside area with table and chairs. Small garden play area. Can use conservatory door to enter/exit if parked out back."
"Shared a table with 10 others for our annual walking group Xmas Lunch I had a pate starter with Roast Beef as a Main course & traditional Xmas pud to finish. The whole meal & experience was excellent, a great vegetable selection with the Main course. The staff get an A* for not fussing “is everything all right” constantly, just after serving. A great experience, Well done Chef for an excellent meal & thank you ladies for your great service!"
"Fantastic. Family had a brilliant time for a supper and the food and service was impeccable. From arrival to the spacious parking area at the back with a recently built children's playground and being presented with the magnificent vista we had a great time. The dining area was very clean and well appointed. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Our drinks arrived very quickly. Food was very well cooked and very tasty. Dessert was also scrumptious. Bar area looked well stocked and aim to try it out as well. Friendly locals as well. There is also two outdoor areas, one at the front with the village as the outlook and one at the rear with the countryside to enjoy. I understand they also have some rooms to rent on the side but have not viewed so cannot comment on that. Overall, we will definitely be returning and are kicking ourselves for not trying this sooner."
"If you like a good Sunday Lunch with friendly service and a nice atmosphere then the Greenman Pub is the place for you. We last visited in march just a week before you know what happened so we've had to wait a while before we could return. That day we enjoyed a great sunday roast which is exactly what we were treated to once again today. This visit was a little bit different to the last time as the dining area we was in before as had to be turned into a table service bar area. We received a friendly welcome from all the staff on arrival before filling out our details in the book. We were then escorted to our table on the opposite side of the pub from last time into what used to be used for when there very busy or functions. The menu has a nice selection of starters , roasts , fish , vegetarian and of course desserts. We started with the Mussels in a white wine cream & shallot sauce and the Avocado & Prawns in a seafood sauce with salad. Now it was time for our roasts which I have to say are a hearty size. We chose the Turkey and the Lamb that came with vegetables , yorkshires , roast potatoes , pigs in blankets and stuffing. For desserts we chose the Banana Fritters with cream & ice cream and a delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding with hot Devon custard. We finished with a coffee to end a fabulous Sunday lunch. The food is good and a hearty size. All the staff are very friendly which creates a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit and I personally will look forward to many more visits in the future. #SupportHospitality"
