"Fantastic evening at Bombay Balti House, our host Motiur was gracious as ever! Fresh food, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere."
"If I could, I would give them 0 stars, this is mostly due to the manager of the place. Last Sunday when the snow was settling, I ordered from a few places but due to the snow many places cancelled as there were no drivers available. I decided to order from here £71 worth of food. I decided to call the establishment to confirm if there are drivers, the store manager said he would call back and let me know. He called back and stated that there were no drivers around, so I told him to cancel it for me which we both agreed. The next day I realised the order was completed when there were no drivers and no food was delivered. I contacted Uber Eats and they said I was not eligible for a refund which personally I don’t blame them, due to it being over £70+ and it stating it was completed as many try do fraudulent activities with Uber orders. So this was the restaurants fault for completing the order. I called the next day to state this, the manager kept stating to contact Uber Eats. What is worse is he was very unprofessional, arrogant and showed no compassion or understanding of the situation. We decided to come down to the establishment, just like on the phone the store manager was very arrogant, and even tried to accuse me of lying as I mistaken £71 for £73 even though he had the receipt in his hand. He was trying to get me to sit down also which I wasn’t a fan of as this was shown as very patronising and condescending. As he kept interrupting on the phone, when I went down to the establishment, I stated to let me finish speaking before interrupting, and he did not even let me finish a sentence which really made this situation frustrating and difficult. He then stated to speak to the owner on the phone in regards to it, and during this time he made me and friend feel uncomfortable as he kept giving us sneaky looks when we weren’t looking. The owner spoke on the phone to me, I explained the situation to him he was a lot more understanding, he stated that he will contact Uber and let me know and either way I will get my money back, he told me to leave my number which I did and also left my friend’s number. He said he would call the next day, which he did not call the next day, and even though the owner was being understanding I felt like he just wanted us to leave. To be fair I have no issue with the owner, however he really needs to check out the store manager as we had a horrible experience, and all we wanted is for him to be understanding and not be absolutely arrogant with the situation as this was a lot of money being spent. I would avoid this place due to the store manager."
"My wife and I had a lovely meal in this restaurant, the food was fantastic, you're made to feel special by the staff the whole time your there. The restaurant is under new management we highly recommend Motiur and the staff at this establishment the best Indian cuisine we've encounted for some time."
"We have always favoured this Indian as it always tastes really nice and is reasonably priced. Our takeaway tonight was considerably overpriced when comapred to what we've had before. Our naans and samosas were dry and we had been given very small portions of our main meals. Everything tasted nice but we were all a little dissapointed with what we paid and the quantity that they gave us."
