"I have had to contact trading standards as the goods have been faulty and the owner has been uncooperative and unprofessional. please see the below i have sent over to them for them to investigate :- When I bought the dress it needed altering on the bust and hem. The owner advised she can fix this for me along with a prominent chalk line across the bottom of the dress where it had been marked for another customer. I was told the dress was new. She agreed to have it removed and i would collect it in 2 wk. I was told they’d call me to collect. I paid £50 deposit for the dress and agreed that the balance will be paid on collection. I didn't hear anything from the shop until I had a message left on my vmail asking why I had not picked up my dress on Saturday 27.04.2019 later in the afternoon. I called them on Sunday to say I would be getting the dress. I was met by the shop assistant and she said the dress had been dry cleaned and the alterations made. I noticed the chalk line was still there, the shop assistant tried to tell me it was folds in the dress. I disagreed and said its marks that have been attempted to be removed and were a little lighter, but still there. I asked how long for the dress to be fixed and she said 2 wk, this would have meant no dress for the ball. The alterations on the bust were terrible- but due to having a short time before the event I had to take the dress and arranged later to take the dress to a dress maker to fix. Initially I was quoted £9.00 to have the tacks put into the bust more securely which we thought was the only issue. At that stage I had not noticed how bad the dresses hem was I’m not a seamstress so I hadn't realised. I had no choice, I had to take the dress away with me. I agreed to pay the balance as long as I was reimbursed for the cost of the repairs. The shop assistant said that shouldn't be a problem but she needs to take the full payment and the owner will call me Mon to confirm the refund. She was really lovely and tried to help best she could but had no authority to agree anything herself. She took all my details again and the remaining £100.00.I did not get a call, I called the shop on mon, tues and wed and was told the owner is not in and she will call her and ask her to call me back. I never got the call - eventually she called back after I said I would bring the dress back. I tried to explain the state of the dress and what I had to have done to repair it. When I spoke to the owner, I told her how upset I was and that I had been in the hospital which is why I couldn't go down to see her. The dress was also at the seamstress at this stage. She agreed to refund £30 which I accepted I told her the dress was at the dress makers and I will get a picture to her asap when I collect it so she can see the white chalk mark. She was happy with this so I left it at that. I sent her the receipt from the dress makers showing the repairs that need doing and the cost. It will Be £50, I have already paid £25 and the rest upon collection. I explained Im happy to take the hit of £20 but I should not have to. The repairs included the base of the zip, the hem which was un level and not even stitched in some places. the stitched were too tight which was pulling the fabric to make it look wonky. The bust tacks were just tacked terribly and the straps are loose ! I didn't notice the amount of work that needed doing until I got it home and looked at it closer and spoke to a dress maker who now has the dress to repair fully. I have sent a copy of the receipt to her and the payment receipt to prove the repairs. I texted her on the Thursday morning to ask when she was paying the £30 into the account and she’s now refusing and she accused me of lying. I told her I would be speaking to Trading standards and leaving negative reviews and she accused me of black mail, called me a liar and that she is reporting me to the police! She has since threatened me to remove my review and since writing this i have found she has been really mean to other people too :("

"Shop under new management runs great. Absolute five star. They had the boots ! Anyone who knows me will tell you, that normally it takes me ages to pick any pair. I am picky regarding styles and a real terror when it comes to foot comfort. Nothing like that this time. Was love at first sight fantastic design and sooo comfy. Big thanks to the comforting owner ! I wish all my clothes shopping visits went that smoothly. Will definitely visit this place again."

"As other people have stated this is only a review for Strawberri Peach i ordered a very expensive outfit for my daughters photo shoot and was promised it would arrive on time only to find this was total lies ! Constantly told it was in the post with tracking needles to say when i was at the shoot thats when they tried to deliver as i wasent there it went to some depo , i have been calling for a week and a half now for a refund just to be fobed off with every excuse going, the shoot all paid for venue paid for and no outfit plus so far no refund ! Please if you shop here make sure you take your outfit with you ."

"I have to clarify that this review has absolutely no relation to the rest of Afflecks which is somewhere i love to shop. I went to strawberri peach with excitement and i was looking forward to having my prom dress made. I talked through what i wanted with the owner and everything seemed fine. I payed the £50 deposit for the dress. I was told i would have 1 or two fittings before i got the dress, to ensure that it fit properly. I had called that shop and i was told that it would be soon, but every time i called i got the same answer. This continued for 3 months. Over the past few weeks i have been a bit worried about the dress as my prom is very soon and i wanted everything to be sorted out as i am in the process of exams at the moment. After threatening to look for another dress i was told that i could come in the next week. When i went in to try on this dress, i have to say it was the most awful piece of clothing i have ever witnessed in my whole life. Honestly. I feel like Stevie Wonder's version of the dress would have been better quality. Firstly, i asked for a corset with sleeves and a separate FULL NET skirt. What i was presented was a silk skirt (Which was extremely wonky). I didn't see a corset, but a top with a lace up back. NOT what i asked for. Every hem or piece of stitching i found was botched. The top didn't even fit me and was EXTREMELY low and too inappropriate for a 16 year old to wear at a high school prom. To this i was told that it didn't matter, even though i clearly expressed that it didn't feel even slightly appropriate. I am extremely disappointed in this shop and i feel let down, just a few weeks before my prom and now i am left without a dress which is something that i really do not want to deal with whilst enduring exams. I feel that this shop hasn't met the standards of all the other shops i have been in in Afflecks which is genuinely disappointing, and i am genuinely in shock that Strawberri peach thought that this mess of material would be suitable for anybody to wear and worth more that £200. I hope that i will be refunded my deposit of £50 but i know i will not be refunded my wasted time (which is a shame). I hate to say this, but as a piece of advice to anybody considering paying for this scam of a shop, i would definitely not trust them and i do not recommend it in the slightest. I'm sorry to the rest of afflecks which is a quirky and really cool place to go to and i would rate the rest of afflecks as 5/5. But Strawberri Peach has really let the rest of the building down and i am awfully frustrated with my experience."
