"Update ** Second time trying them and this time I ordered chicken soup, fried dumpling and jerk wings. Good portion sizes, reasonable tasty and great customer service again over the phone. First impression: 4* I Ordered a cheesy beef patty and jerk lamb and rice and peas for the first time from here and it’s really tasty. The only thing was the overwhelming smell of browning. The person over the phone was lovely as well. I’d definitely order again!"

"A HUGE Variety of food with many different mains and sides. Food tasted fresh and the staff who work there are lovely and polite. I had peppered steak rice and peas and dumpling with a fruit punch ! I would widely recommend to anyone !"

"Good Tings has a very large variety of different dishes and sides dishes to accommodate your chosen meal and also sides for quick eats such as salt fish fritters, festivals, fried dumplings and more. I will start my review with the shop itself. Exceptionally clean and really good looking. They have however just opened. Hoping that this shop can continue to keep up the wonderful clean look. There is a few stools and table for about 3 people to sit and eat if needs be. The food. I ordered a vegetable patty, saltfish fritter, Jerk meal, sweet chilli chicken meal and 3 Tru-Juice sorrel drinks. The fritter was nice but I felt it had way too much pepper in it. Nevertheless was still edible and good to eat. The patty, I had vegetable and it was okay. My preferred patty shop was closed that day which is why I decided to give Good Tings a try. I do rather a flakier patty but this patty although not flaky still tasted okay. The patty is good enough that I would go and buy again if my preference shop is closed. The Jerk meal, I didn’t really like the smell of it once I opened the container, had a weird smell but it tasted good, and the jerk sauce was nice. The rice and peas which I purchased with both meals was fantastic! Nice and shelly (If you know, then you know!), just the way I like it! The sweet chilli chicken was amazing! Would definitely recommend trying it out! Lovely flavours and smelled nice too. I like the fact that you can see everything in front of you in this shop. If you ask the lady serving to lift open the lid to see the food she will, at least she did for me. The lady who served me was a very pleasant young lady, lovely smile, very welcoming, friendly and keen to serve you. I didn’t ask her her name but she was small, in height and stature, light skinned and had her hair plaited back and in a blue hair net. Lovely young lady. Unfortunately there was another older darker skin lady who seemed to have a bit of an attitude. She was sweeping the floor at one point and also taking orders. She just came across as miserable. We had forgotten to take spoons as we left and my husband went back for them, he said she literally threw them at him. He didn’t feel welcomed by this lady. Not to be rude to the lady but I’m the kind of person that when I’m buying food from an establishment the staff member’s attitude etc mean a lot to me, because these people are amongst and handling the food which I intend on consuming. I don’t know maybe she is the manager/owner of the restaurant at least that’s the vibe I got from her. Moving on to the drinks. I ordered the sorrel Tru- Juice as there wasn’t any other Tru-juice option. They had other drinks of course but I do like Tru-Juice. Would be nice if they could have more choice from that brand. The food is reasonably priced although a small option would be good especially for young children. To be honest, I brought the meals for my children and had to order them medium as there wasn’t any small option. Overall, Good Tings is a nice shop with Good food! I look forward trying out more food from them in the future, it’s in a good and convenient spot and a little shop like this is needed in the area. I rate Good Tings 4/5 only because of the miserable lady’s customer service. Hopefully I can change this to a 5 star in the future. Edit 1. I visited the shop again on 8/12/22. I was happy to see that the shop has stocked more selection from the Tru-Juice brand since my last review. I couldn’t say this was done based on my review, however it was pleasing to see and they even had my favourite guava-pineapple flavour which I of course ordered. If the drinks was stocked based on my review than it shows that the owner is definitely taking into account the opinions of his/her customers which is great. I was once again served by the lovely pleasant young lady. The older lady was there but I wasn’t served by her. I really like this shop and I hope next time I visit I’m served by the older lady, and that she delivers a great service so I can change my 4 star to a 5 star review."
