"Wanted to love this place. Burrata was delicious, but all other dishes left a lot to be desired. Pork chop was dry and lamb lacked flavour. Wine was also served very warm. Restaurant had flies flying about too."
"What an interesting restaurant. Unassuming look, super relaxed feel and great staff and service. But it was the food that made it sing: it surpassed my expectations. More of a 4.5* and definitely worth a visit. The deco may not be to everybody's like but it works very well there. Exposed brick walls painted white, with bright colour paintings adding a splash of colour and happy vibe, helped by the uplifting background music kind of Jersey boys. The ceiling has spot lights on the lower modern part contrasting with the rough materials in the centre recessed area, corrugated rusty metal sheets and wood. Metal troughs hanging from the ceiling house the lights giving an almost agricultural look. It combines well with the rustic feel that continues with the use of natural light wood in shelves, tables, curved back supports on the wall and floor. Somehow it all works very well, feels connected and gives an incredibly relaxed feel. Great for groups but also couples. The food was amazing. Appetisers: Mushroom marmite eclair and smoked mackerel cornetto. Starter of south coast cod cheeks, courgette n fennel salad, thyme emulsion was really good but my main of baby octopus rissotto, mussel, nutbourne tomato sauce was exceptional. I will remember the taste of those muscles for a long time! Side of salt baked potatoes truly delicious as well. Dessert of armagnac frangipane tart, chantilly, candied citrus a fitting end to an excellent meal. Very tasty food, beautifully cooked and presented. In brief, a super relaxed restaurant, staff very attentive and great service. And the food is excellent. Very highly recommended."
"Me and my friend came in for a lunch completely randomly and we absolutely loved it! Starting with beautiful interior, through attentive and friendly service and with fantastic food! Highlights of the day: Mackerel Cornetto, Rosemary salt potatoes and Lamb chops (served with side of courgettes and fennel with rosemary jus are to die for!). Can't wait to be back and to check out other of their restaurants! Please bare in mind that guys are working in very small team (on Tuesday lunch it was only one chef and one waiter) so it's not a place for a quick bite, but a place for a relaxed and wonderful meal! Thank you guys for amazing time!"
"An absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we arrived , we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, the restaurant felt very cosy and intimate, had a very positive and inviting atmosphere. We sat right by the kitchen which was also very nice as we can watch the chefs cooking at the same time. 6 of us , we literally ordered the whole menu. Every single dish was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and tasted delicious. There was so much attention to detail from the chefs and the staff which really transformed into the food and our experience. We highly recommend the mushroom Eclair, the leeks and the sole but really everything was so yummy :) Will definitely go back and maybe not sharing my food again :)"
"I booked the restaurant to celebrate my birthday with friends in December and we had absolutely amazing time. Rabbit was able to prepare a big table for 14 of us. We had a set Christmas menu which was for a great price and such a good value for money. Around 6 courses and all delicious. Rabbit was able to accommodated all sorts of dietary requirements we all had including gluten, dairy free etc. My friends and I all loved the food, atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. All beyond expectations. Thank you very much. We will be back."
