"Was looking for an informal curry house near Kingston Hospital and was pleasantly surprised with Akbar. The restaurant is small but welcoming. Portions were quite generous, tasty and not sat in a sea of oil (which you see in a lot of restaurants/takeaways). Losing one star as my boyfriend's duck jalfrezi tasted like a curry 'base' and didn't have much flavour, so it seems you have to know what to order here (my green chicken masala was amazing). Plus they sold '660ml' bottles of Cobra when in fact they were 620ml."
