"I booked for 15 of us to go out for a Post Christmas, Christmas meal!! The staff accommodated us amazingly well, arranged tables to our liking and were friendly, happy and helpful. Prices seem to vary... I thought the carvery was a fixed price, but the website says prices from £x.xx per person. I was surprised by the bill, but it was not excessive, just different to what I had budgeted for."

"Wasn't keen on the service. It was like they wanted to close early as it was pretty quiet. Arrived around 7pm We ordered drinks and the carvery and told we could sit anywhere .after settling down at a table at the back we were told to move to the next table as that area was now closed we did and 10 mins later someone else sat at our original table to eat and nothing was said to them , very soon we were told to hurry up as the carvery was closing in 15 mins .We went to get served the chef gave us Small portions of meat so didn't take us long to eat, as soon as we had finished eating the bill was on the table without even asking for it . Therefore we didn't get chance to use our discount voucher which would have made the meal more reasonable value for money for what we got"

"Went for family meal on New Year’s Eve booked it an extra member of the family and baby turned up for meal not booked the assisting manager I think was very quick to pull me up over this told me they weren’t on the booking and they have booking for the night bearing in mind the place was dead and there were only two other couples in there when we walked in at 5 30 this made me feel very uncomfortable spoilt the family gathering. .We often go here for meals through out the year and for the last couple of years on New Year’s Eve because it is local to my elderly parents and all team workers are lovely especially the young girl who was are server on the night she was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us It’s a shame you always get one we won’t be going back ."

"Just want to start by saying the chef who served us was really friendly and made an effort to talk to us and ask us how our day had been which made us feel welcome. The food was nice meat was succulent but I found 2 hard pieces of what looked like glittery bronze ceramic in the gravy/Yorkshire pudding, I pointed this out to the staff, they disagreed and said it was burnt food off the trays. I was given £2 off the bill which was okay but I feel like any other restaurant would of handled it differently and just taken the meal off the bill. I wasn't prepared to argue over a £10 meal I was more concerned other people might have it in their food. On the plus side I've had a laugh reading some of these 1 star reviews it's made up for nearly loosing my tooth."

"Very friendly staff and a nice warm welcome. We were welcomed to our table and greeted to Nat V she was so happy and helpful as always, we then headed up for our carvery beautiful carved by Margy. Nice to return and see Nat still working there. We look forward to seeing you all soon. Thanks Matt and Lynn"
