"I didn’t try the food. I was denied a table because I was alone. This has never happened to me before. The excuse I was given was, “we are a small restaurant, and we need to fill the tables”. I didn’t want to argue with the person on the phone. What about even numbers? What if I want to order more than the average of two people? It is just ridiculous. To the restaurant owner, I would say: educate yourself in the hospitality sector. Single diners tend to order the more expensive items on the menu, don’t stay as long as larger parties, are less demanding, and tip very well. Will never try you again, even with a larger party."
