"Our first experience at a Zizzi… We arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday expecting the place to be packed but happily we managed to get a table straight away - we had a nice booth tucked away in the corner. I visited the toilets first of all which, let me just say.. the corridor definitely took me by surprise! - Each toilet is in its own little room with your own personal sink, I think it’s the best way to have public toilets. First of all, we ordered drinks which was 2x glass bottle cokes which are the best type - our drinks came with a complimentary portion of pasta crisps. We ordered a cheesy garlic bread without the caramelised onions for starter which arrived pre-sliced and was really delicious, it could’ve done with a little more cheese though. For mains, my partner had spaghetti bolognese and I had the pepperoni campagna pizza with added chicken. The pizza was delicious, a little unbalanced on the toppings, it was nice and full on the right side of the pizza compared to the left side but I was full by the time I reached that side anyway! - Bonus points for the mini pizza cutter, that was brilliant. The food was generally good, my partner said the spaghetti needed a little salt to bring the flavour out but it was a good sized portion and both meals were made with quality ingredients. During the main course, I ordered a couple of “softail” drinks; the Pineapple Punch and the Passion Fruitini - I wasn’t very impressed with these, they were far too sweet and mostly filled with ice, I just expected more for from two drinks that cost £9.90. The staff were generally friendly, we did keep hearing one of the chefs shouting at one of his co-workers, something about a metal bowl but he was very loud and aggressive - not something you want to have on show if you’re going to have a open kitchen in your restaurant. We used the QR code to pay our bill which was a nice and easy way to do it."
"We visited Zizzi's on 29th December and had a very nice meal. We both had pizzas and they were both delicious, and we also loved the chocolate melt dessert. A big thank you to Wes who was our waiter who was very friendly and chatty during during our visit and went above and beyond with looking after everyone in the restaurant :)"
"AVOID! was really craving pasta so come here to get some. Upon entering local smelled like broken toilet pape. It should of been a warning for me then. Order pasta with chicken and fancy Italian bacon. I ask for pancetta not to be put in my dish. I had it for take away, when I open my dish and toke first bite it was... Pancetta! Not only that but chicken smelled so so bad! I managed to eat half of it I feel sick! I won't come to complain inside as I haven't feelt welcome in the first place by kitchen staff looking over in nasty way. I have wasted my time and money on something so disgusting, very disappointed."
"Just left Zizzi in Cheshire oaks, our first visit certainly didn't disappoint! Great food, generous portions and the flavour combinations of the Piña colada sorbet were delicious! Even more wonderful we were able to customise the ice cream offered with it (as my partner has an aversion to coconut) which was heaven. The real highlight though was the staff. In particular a young lady with shoulder length dark hair and then a gentleman with a fantastic smile who took over when her shift ended. 10/10 will come again and bring friends!"
