"We have just returned from our stay at Willington Hall and unfortunately very disappointed with this hotel. Myself and my partner opted for the Suite that set us back £200. The suite was advertised as having a four poster bed and garden view. Unfortunately there was no four poster bed and our view was of the carpark and kitchen/bins. The furniture was tired and missing handles, the ceiling was also water stained that was likely the result of a previous leak. The food was lovely and the staff were amazing. At breakfast the following morning there was only one girl at front of house so service was slow and tables hadn’t been cleared. Also alcoholic drinks are very expensive so take a bottle to enjoy in your room! Overall very disappointed as this was a valentines weekend break. If you are planning a trip to Cheshire there are other hotels in the area that offer Spa/Golf facilities and come in at a lower price."
"I attended a Wake here and the staff were superb in managing a larger than expected (over 200) people. They were welcoming and helpful and the food and service was excellent. I hope to return under happier circumstances in the future."
"Charming accomodation matched by equally charming and attentive staff. Such good value for an exceptionally good evening meal and breakfast. The suite (room number 2) is huge with stunning pastoral views. To be woken by birdsong and sunshine pouring in was an utter delight. Well done for making our stay most enjoyable."
"Fabulous building. Friends invited myself and my wife for my wife's birthday lunch. Absolutely super food. One of our friends was given a wrong dish, but this was corrected after a half hour wait, and was not charged for on the bill. Superb service by the head waiter with full apologies for the mistake. Wonderful location with views around the hall and great gardens. If we get the opportunity we will go again."
