"The Doner shack was OK but I was quite let down, I'd tried a competitor a couple of months ago and was very impressed so had the same expectations for here. The staff were friendly which was a positive. They servied kids meals but have no high chairs which was a negative. The main was of good portion and the side salad, fries and sauce were nice but I was hoping the doner meat would have been tastier and maybe a bit more of it. We also had the halumi and chicken bites on the side and these I must say, especially the chicken bites tasted heavily processed and not of great quality or freshness. I don't think they'd been open a long time so maybe there's plenty of improvements on their road map."
"After getting tired from shopping, it is necessary to have lunch in a restaurant that suits your taste in eating, and since I am a fan of doner, I tried this restaurant, and it was a special experience, the food was very delicious, the meat doner and chicken doner taste very delicious , the prices of the meals are not expensive And it is suitable for everyone"
"The Döner Shack restaurant/take away place based inside The Arcade shopping centre around 5-7min walk from Manchester Victoria station and around 10min walk from Piccadilly. It's very similar to GDK kebab restaurants. I heard a lot about this place so I decided to give it a go even when I've seen mixed reviews. Let's start from the staff: absolutely great, friendly and talkative. Will advise You etc. Food - very average and I have to say it's nothing exciting... I had bratwurst sausage with chips, salad and sauerkraut. I know german kitchen and I was expecting something tastes better. Also U can order beers like german lager - but I would advice to stick to local pubs. Overall slighty disappointed and if not a friendliness of staff I will rated this place with 2 stars. Decor is alright tho and in general Döner Shack it's overpriced and I will advise the owner to lower the prices..."
"Headed to this place for my lunch as I wanted to see what all the hype was all about. And have to say what a disappointment it was, I ordered a mix kebab and chip's, the chip's was good and the kebab was more doner meat than mixed. I found the doner meat no more tastier than anywhere else I have eaten, as the owner claims it to be better doner meat than you would get in other Kebab houses as he claimed in the local paper . I was expecting my kebab to come in Naan bread or pitter bread but instead what I got was no more then a sesame seed bread / bun. You can order alcohol as well as sort drinks my whole meal with drinks come to £25 pound, way over priced. this place as one disabled toilet with emergency cord . it was clean enough my only criticism of the toilet is that the tiles need a good clean and a toilet check sheet needs putting in the toilet so customers can see when the toilets are checked /cleaned . Also seating and tables are not being cleaned after every customer. Am I going back ? I doubt it very much and at the price we paid I doubt if it will stay open for much long before another one bites the dust ."
