"Overall, enjoyed this. Came in last week at around half 4 thinking I'd beat the teatime rush. I didn't, because the food took around an hour to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Good traditional fare. Bit crowded in the dining area, a large family of noisy kids. Surprised for a Tuesday, but I guess it just shows that this is a popular pub. Nice pint of Guinness too"

"Friendly helpful staff,the food here for our party of 8 was amazing,no complaints at all,the Nashville nachos, sharing platters,onions rings,chips, garlic breads all served very quickly and the food was just so so good! Id even come over from Blackburn to The Stag again for a meal the food was that good."
