"Two of us joined the Flower Workshop with their in-house florist Alison in October and we had a fabulous time. We were able to pick and cut our own flowers from the cutting garden whilst learning more about the individual plants. Alison then demonstrated and taught us to arrange these into gorgeous autumn bouquets after a tea and a cake. It was such a great way to spend a morning and we are so chuffed with our bouquets! "The Abbeywood team were fantastic on the day of the wedding and in the lead up to it. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, and put us completely at ease. The Abbeywood team helped us plan our day and had great ideas, including for things we were nervous about. We wanted a relaxed atmosphere and we achieved that with their help. The food was delicious and guests with dietary requirements were well accommodated, the flowers were beautiful and we felt everything was perfect - just the way we wanted it. The venue is incredible and so many of our guests commented that it was an amazing venue and that the staff team contributed enormously to that. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning to relive our big day! Thanks so much."

"Friends of ours got married here last week. The setting was unreal!! Absolutely gorgeous. Great service from all the staff. Efficient and welcoming too. The gardens are delightful. Unfortunately the rooms were unavailable when we checked (make sure you try and book very very early) but they are right on estate. Would revisit in a flash!!"

"This is such a great place. There are three sides. The restaurant, formal gardens, and the other part consisting of forest walks, chickens, children's play area and amazing flower beds which are part of the florestry business. The exotic plants in the first garden are an amazing display, the flower boarders around the fish filled ponds beautiful and picturesque. The long lawn and house look like a box of chocolates. The flower gardens and prairie planting were masses of colour in July and great to wander through. The food served in the restaurant (we booked ahead of time) was of a high quality, served by friendly staff and the goats cheese, beetroot and pesto quiche was stunning. The accompaniments were also very tasty, new potatoes, coleslaw etc. Highly recommended and a bet a wedding here would be magical."
