"I'd seen lots of positive reviews and recommendations for this place, which is right by my home and work, so I tried it with a friend. We arrived at 8pm and ordered the banquet. I wish we'd tried some of the specialty regional dishes, as the food in the banquet seemed lower-quality (watered-down hot and sour soup, which lacked spice and flavour and very dry duck). The portions were also on the small side for the price. The banquet was OK, not amazing, I would recommend individual dishes instead. The one thing that brought down the visit was the service, unfortunately. It was fine at first when we were served by the waitresses. But as it got later, the managers/owners took over serving us and were looking at their watches, taking our plates when we were in the middle of eating and cleaning up aggressively, etc. It turns out they were closing at 10pm, but they failed to mention that, rather they started moving our plates around and making us feel rushed. Hopefully they will work on their hospitality and prioritise customer experience to encourage revisits. This really let the whole thing down, but it's such a simple and free thing to get right."
