"Visited on a Sunday, after staying in nearby Forest Holidays Cabin in Sherwood Forest. The food was great! I had a trio of meat, it was very tasty, beef nice and pink and turkey and pork not dry. Lots of lovely fresh greens and delicious gravy. Service was fab, a great addition to the area and for anyone visiting nearby."
"I went to the recently refurbished The Fox with my friends. We were welcomed and served by really friendly, and professional, staff. The food was great, the cocktails were great and the music was great. I loved the pie and mash, and the local steak in particular! I also loved the 'Dark and Stormy' cocktail made by Amy! There's also an excellent selection of local and international beer. Can't wait to come back!"
"We went for the first time and we will be back, to try the regular menu. Today was the Sunday lunch and it was fabulous so nice to find some where with the beef pink. Also the veggies hadn't been overcooked either which is a definite plus for me. Also they had a good range of no alcohol options which was a nice and welcome change. And they didn't blink an eye when I asked for Yorkshire Pudding on a sep plate for my fussy child. Service was good and the food came out quick. Definitely worth a visit and it wasn't too expensive as well so definitely a winner"
"Absolutely stunning food! The BEST pie I've ever had. Very attentive staff, fantastic for food allergies, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings, beautifully presented food. VERY good value for money. The only criticism is the play area doesn't actually have anything to play on..... Best meal out in a very long time! Childrens chicken goujons, chips and cucumber. Steak and Ale pie with chunky chips, minted mushy peas and onion gravy. Steak burger. Rustic fries, salad and coleslaw. Rump Steak, Stilton sauce, and rustic fries. Side of onion rings."
"Delicious meal at the Fox at Kirton. We had the steak and lobster and it was delicious! Served with skin on fries, peppercorn sauce, cheese sauce and garlic mushroom with a side dish of onion rings. Great value for money, excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. 100% recommend."
