"Food was lovely, order 3 dosas, which were a good size, can ask for medium spicey noddles for they were spicey for my children. Generally was very good. Also order chicken lollipops which were OK. Good places but the food was a bit spicey."
"This building has probably housed more businesses than the Merry Hill and unfortunately that's a bit of a worry in itself. I thought I would give the new Dosa Corner with not a clue what to expect although it did look pleasant enough from the outside. The reviews looked very good but many of them appear to be potentially biased. Sadly the wife couldn't make it for her opinion and so I was "Johnny no mates." On entering it felt as though the waiter was a bit surprised to have me eating in, perhaps it's because they are more of a take away at the moment. There's loads of new dishes to try, it's not your usual Bangladeshi menu so you can forget about having a chicken tikka pathia etc, in fact they don't do poppadoms or even naan breads although the latter are on the menu. After a bit of advice from the waiter I went for the chicken chukka with a couple of parathas and they were excellent. A really flavoursome dryish curry, and slightly hot. The chicken was juicy and the parathas very light, flaky and not in the slightest oily - I couldn't fault it and looking forward to trying something different next time. They only have soft drinks at the moment but I believe they may be getting an alcohol licence soon. Really competitive prices at the moment so I really hope this place takes off as a restaurant because it deserves to. The only barrier I can see would potentially be the parking. Your loss if this puts you off."
"The food was delicious and tasty great environment with a wonderful host. Great service will definitely go back"
"It's just been a week since this place opened. I absolutely loved the flavour, taste and the spice levels in the kothu parottas we took away last night. We also got a taste of their lamb Biryani and fell in love instantly. It's so good to see a proper south Indian restaurant that delivers good quality and taste without compromising on the very essence of South Indian / Sri Lankan cuisines. I'm waiting to be back here for proper meals and give a more detailed summary."
"I happened to hear about this place over a word of mouth from a friend's whatsapp group and decided to pop in with the family, first I wanted to make sure they are open and seating available for us before set off ( its a 15 miles distance to us) Surprise.. The all new Dosa corner is brand new restaurant & nicely done interior, very clean and smart looking staff members, The Chef can be seen preparing foods in the background, nice music & vibe. We ordered starters and mains, the starters of vadai/rolls were so tasty spot on/crispy accompanied by lovely freshly made chutney selection, I had mutton soup starter which is nice n spicy but could be better off with bit more ingredients, we ordered squid curry which was nice and followed by mains of masala dosa ( my son gave 10/10 for great taste ) and mutton biryani and mutton koththu roti, which were really flavorsome and taste tingling 100% superb, overall just enough portions, freshly prepared food quality, very tasty, just right salt content & most of all we asked for medium spice level which the Chef prepared exactly what we asked for, the chicken fried rice was also yummy ( 10/10 from my daughter ) we ran out of space to order more, so first proper srilankan restaurant in Birmingham & surrounding areas they have done justice with the food and mind you they only open for the last few days, teething problems expected but amazingly there were none, its already popular loads of people coming in to eating out and take away which was nice to see and it gives the restaurant good credits. Thanks to the Owner, a lovely man kindly spoke to us as well as the waitress whom was very polite, attentive and caring, we left with a courtesy of sweets served aftermath main meals, Highly recommended eatery, you cant go wrong. oh by the way very friendly prices, its well worth it too."
