"visited with family for a 50th birthday, 6 people and all of us displeased with the service we were given and the quality of food we recieved. currys tasted bland and very little meat in them to say they were nearly £17 some of them, 4 prawns in curry costing £17 isnt acceptable. and a sashlik with 4 pieces of meat on also. bill totaling £125 and all displeased, wont be returning as its a shame because we went previously and enjoyed it. servers were very rude and didnt want us to order starters and drinks seperate and made us wait until everybody had decided all there choices so we then felt rushed. shame really as i looked forward to having a curry at what I orignally though was a nice restraunt."
"Great food, really improved in the last year or so; definitely give it another go if you get the chance. Could cut the lamb with a fork. BYOB (£2.50/head) which I really like as you can pick up some excellent beers from the nearby Epicurean instead of just boring cobra. Can feel a little expensive (but what doesn't these days). The poppadoms are huge; we definitely ordered too many."
"We ordered a takeaway and the food is lovely and faultless but we never get what we order! We ask for 2 onions for the popadams and only every get 1 for the price you pay you expect better service in what you order it’s like they don’t listen. The salad is pityful half a cherry tomato and a tiny bit of cucumber and an few shreds of lettuce. Wish I could show a picture. Luke warm onion barjis too"
"After moving to The Heatons we struggled to find a good Indian takeout/ restaurant until we discovered Bay Leaf. It's all fresh and cooked to order and not to greasy, so no bloated stomachs the next day. The staff are wonderful and friendly too. Yesterday whilst we are self isolating you went above and beyond to make sure we could still have the curry we craved. THANKS so much. Rich and Anles"
