"This is such a beautiful space. It’s peaceful so you can actually enjoy the atmosphere despite it being busy on a Friday eve for dinner. Staff were super accommodating and helpful. One thing I’d say - it was a bit tricky with the specials - had to take a photo of the specials “board” with other diners in the way. I’d say also the aubergine dish had a little too much honey in it for me. The cocktail didn’t have a lot of flavour to it either. But overall fab experience and would definitely go again. Mostly for the atmosphere but the food wasn’t bad at all. Service too. Very attentive staff. A lot of attention to detail. It’s not super cheap but worth the night out with friends or for a date, for sure."
"Incredible experience, food was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely. Went for a friends 25th, and loved the vibe"
"Visited this place on a Monday night. The food was SO delicious (particularly the tuna crunch) but the service was so bad it was funny. The staff weren't rude or anything, we just had to remind them of our order 3 times. At one point the waiter starting clearing our table before we'd had our last dish – which we had to remind him we hadn't had – and didn't replace the chopsticks he'd manhandled whilst taking them away and putting them back down again. Luckily the great food outweighed all this, you'd just hope the service would match the price tag."
"I love Uchi!! Such an authentic and delicious Japanese restaurant, in a quiet location. The sushi platter is perfect for 2 people, you each get to try five different pieces of sushi. The tuna and salmon are especially amazing. I love all of the daily specials that I've tried. The service is amazing, as is the ambiance."
"Got a takeaway order on a Saturday early evening. We bought two types of sushi (mushroom one and soft crab one), chicken yakitori and aubergine with miso. The dishes were all quite tasty, and I would especially highlight the aubergine, with was spectacular. And I’m not some kind of aubergine super fan. But the miso really kicked it up a notch and the roasted peel of the aubergine was also nice. The chicken was surprisingly spicy but nothing over the top. The value for money is decent overall, I’d say. This was our first time trying Uchi and we’ll definitely order from them again and hopefully have the chance to visit the restaurant."
