"Four of us visited on a Saturday night. We all enjoyed the food which was piping hot and excellently cooked. The landlord and landlady were lovely and couldnt do enough for us. The pub itself has been fully renovated is spotless and very warm and comfortable. A couple of the rooms are dog friendly which is good if you take your dog for a walk along the canal and then can call in for a drink or lunch etc. We will definitely use the outside beer garden in Summer - take our dogs, have lunch and maybe listen to one of the brass bands they often have booked. In conclusion a lovely pub/restaurant which is well worth a visit with friendly people who care about their customers."
"Great pub, well run and with a great atmosphere. Only stopped in for a quick drink but clearly has a great clientele of happy locals and visitors enjoying the amenities. Will definitely be back for the good though, menu sounds delicious."
"Turned up without a reservation, 7 of us, and 2 dogs... Warmly welcomed by the landlord, we were warned food might be a bit slow due to another party. Wasn't a problem. Waitress was polite and helpful. Drinks came quickly, plenty of options. We all ordered light bites, they came quickly too. Potions were decent, chips cooked perfectly (imho!). We were checked on and offered more drinks. Facilities were clean and well looked after. Thank you Ring O' Bells, we'll be back!"
"Tried to go here for some drinks but as soon as we came in we were asked if we had booked a table (no, but would like to sit outside in the practically empty garden please) and that there would be a wait on drinks (said by man stood behind bar with no queue and another member of staff beside him not currently doing anything). Turned straight back around and were given a recommendation by a local person for a pub that likes customers and is happy to serve drinks. It's clear from the reviews of this place (and the responses from the business) that if you want friendly welcoming service then you should go elsewhere."
"Well. It is a lovely pub in a great location. Garden is lovely over look at the canal. My only issue is the gentleman who seems to be the owner. Very confronting and ever so slightly comes as rude. Or better say need to brush his customer service. He came to us saying you can drink but can not serve you food. Which is perfectly OK but the way he said it was the issue. Anyway the staff though are great. The drinks are great and by the taste of the beer you can see they put a lot of care and attention to cleaning the pipes, etc."
