"Well to say this is the worst fish and chips for quite a while, fish batter soggy,fish not sure what it was but it did not look or tatse like cod or haddock, chips uncooked and soggy. Never Will I go again, two chaps working there may also want to address their personal appearance. Shocking"
"I visited Crown Fisheries a few weeks ago. The staff were very friendly, and chatted as I waited for my freshly cooked fish and chips. The short wait was worth it, as this was the best fish and chips I've had for years."
"We had fish, chips and battered sausage. The fish was tiny and the batter was wet and greasy. The chips were greasy and both were a soggy mess which neither of us could eat and pretty tasteless. The battered sausage was slightly spicy and very average, eat went in the bin Would not go back, should have realised when there were no other customers"
"Have called into here for years when visiting the town and use the takeaway side of this traditional chippy. The latest visit was as good as previous ones, battered sausage & chips was perfect, food was hot, great value prices and the service ok. Amazingly 'scraps' are available which is rare nowadays! There was a slight delay as a long queue was there being at lunchtime, so to be expected, but we always think a busy chippy means the food must be good and in our opinion it was. Recommended !"
