"I never like giving a negative review, but feel the need to tell it like it is. When I booked they said the service might be slow, given it was Chinese new year; they weren't kidding! Over one hour and a half between ordering and getting our starters. So, the restaurant was cold, the food average and the service non-existant. Won't be going back!"

"Went here for a family meal for 12 on a recommendation from a friend. Round table seated us all, staff helped us choose just the right amount of dishes and advised on appropriate dishes to share, including pork spare ribs in sweet and sour sauce which were delicious! It was really good value too. Will definitely be going back!"

"Nice restaurant, very authentic, prices a bit more than other Chinese restaurants although a lot of places have put there prices up so probably about average now. I ordered a lamb curry and my gosh it was a large portion, there was a lot of lamb which was cooked lovely not tough at all. However I did think the actual curry was slightly salty. I also ordered some chips which I think they forgot about, I've always liked Chinese curry and chips when the chips came it was a large portion, but they already put salt on?! So having the chips on my curry did seem even more salty. Although it was still good and my friend said it was the best chinese he's had. Lamb Curry £12.50, chips £4, bottle of Fanta £3.50. Definitely will come again, will pick something else and will have rice with the meal next time."

"Friendly staff, Kelvin gave advice on menu choices to help us. Food was lovely and plentiful, and we took away our left overs in boxes. A bit more expensive than we expected, however, would definitely recommend China Red."

"I went to China Red with a friend of mine for a taste of the Asian cuisine in Sheffield. There was an immediate judging from me due to how the outside looked and the graffiti however you should not judge how it looked. We went in to a beautiful restaurant with such polite staff. I experienced great quality of service from a small friendly restaurant environment. The chopsticks were authentic and not the cheap wooden ones. The lady from yesterday offered an amazing service and recommended me a beautiful beef dish. The flavours from the food came bursting out. The beef was mouth watering, the meat was tender. I will 100% be coming back again and the food was very affordable. We ended up buying 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 drinks for a cool £28.50, this was buying the more expensive meals on offer and yet for this quality of food was a great bang for your buck. I was expecting to pay £40-50 and so I had to leave a tip for the overall service. 3 ways id describe the food would be authentic, mouth-watering and high quality.
