"The atmosphere was good being in trendy part of ancoats. The kitchen is really small with only 2 chefs, one for the hot food and other for the sushi. We tried a couple of starters including gyoza, karage, soft shell crab and sashimi with uramaki rolls were good. I’d recommend the dragon roll, the seared salmon on top just melts the mouth. The ramen however is abut disappointing with the restaurant specialty as ramen, a choice of thin or thick noodles, portion size weren’t the biggest but the disappointment is the broth. For genuine ramen makers the broth is the heart and like other reviewers, there was a real lack of it. Certainly not enough to even finish the noodles. Be expected to only have alcohol or soft drinks if your having evening meal as they apparently don’t serve hot drinks in evening which is strange. All in all I’d go back for the sushi and starters rather than the ramen. But then there’s other sushi establishment that I’d rather go. Not quite what the hype was but I guess you’ll always get the custom being near the trendy part of ancoats."
"Delicious food for the most part, the only thing lacking some flavour was the Hakata ramen. Highly recommend the Nagoya ramen, salmon tacos and Lucky maki rolls. Great service too! We’ll be back soon."
"Excellent service. I really like that you paid as soon as you ordered - meant we didn't need to linger to try & catch the bill at the end. Sushi was pretty good! I had soft shell crab ramen. The Crab was good & the broth was ok. The noodles were not the best quality. It was pretty expensive for what they were serving, but overall I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place."
"Quite pricy and not the most authentic ramen. Recommended by someone who looks like they know their ramen, I mean it's decent looking, but the noodle itself is quite "manufactured" rather than "crafted", odd choice to include the "crabstick" as topping. The gyoza is alright. The ambience is nice for a date or gathering, catching up situation. But i wouldnt care for the food much."
"Probably my favourite ramen place in Manchester yet. I ordered a Kasaoka ramen and it was superb. The soup had a lot of depth with many flavours combining perfectly. The karaage chicken topping was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, as it should be. A lovely bowl of ramen indeed. The atmosphere was pretty nice as well, cozy but not too cramped."
