"We got seated near the window so I was facing the street outside, I liked that. We waited quite a long time for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait. The food was very good but the portion was a bit to small in my opinion. I got a vegetarian option!"
"Went here searching for Korean BBQ experience. The restaurant didn’t take bookings. The restaurant was busy and packed but I think that enhanced the experience. The varieties of kimchi were fun to eat but the meat was not enough for the price payed. Staff was very friendly, quick and seem to have a lot of experience. Service - 8/10 Environment- 6/10 Taste - 7/10"
"Very disappointing experience! I never write reviews but my experience at this restaurant was not pleasant at all. I will try to be as fair as possible with the below comments on each dish that we ordered at the restaurant. Items ordered from the menu: For bbq: Number 86. Beef short ribs- £13.90 Number 87. Beef Rib eye- £12.90 Number 96. Spicy squid- £10.90 The short ribs were good but two thin slices for £13.90, personally I feel it was overpriced. The beef rib eye slices were frozen and when it was on the grill a lot of water drained out. The spicy squid- really?! Literally one piece of defrosted squid slabbed on with a spoonful of kimchi marinade. The sauce also caused the grill to burn the squid before it was even cooked evenly. Side dish: Kimichi (7 slices of cut cabbage)- £5.50 The kimchi had no taste apart from being spicy. It was not fermented yet. No tangy flavour or even saltiness. At Authentic Korean restaurants side dishes are usually complimentary but I still wouldn’t complain paying £5.50 for 7 slices of cut cabbage if it tasted like kimchi. Appetiser: Seafood pancake- £11.90 I will be fair and say this was good. I do recommend this dish. It was crispy and not oily. Rice dish: chicken kimchi fried rice- £11.90 As you can see from the picture the rice are like lumps. I have a feeling this was pre mixed with some spicy sauce and added a few pieces of kimchi and chicken then microwaved. The rice was lukewarm when it came out and from the taste you can tell it was not stir fried. Overall not good value for money. The service was really slow. It’s understandable as they only had one staff attending all tables. On top of the overpriced bill, service charge was added. I usually would pay for service charge however this is the first time I requested for it to be taken off the bill and the staff showed an unhappy face. If you really want authentic Korean food I would avoid this restaurant."
"Face opposite to St Peter Square Metrolink. Very convenient located and easy to spot. A couple of choices for lunch set. The soup comes with the lunch set. Spinach needed extra order and was treated for two other side dishes. The beef rice set is kinda of Korean source taste. However, as lunch set, it was warm enough for the rice. It wasn’t the best in the city but still can give a trial."
"Lovely! Amazing service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Very quaint and cozy in here, with a big menu selection. The only issue is that I'd asked for a side dish that never came, and that the spicy food wasn't as spicy as I had hoped."
