Initially established in 2006 as a mobile Outreach Programme by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), IFLC aimed to build trusting relationships and provide educational pathways for young people in Ipswich who required flexible learning choices. Due to the growing need for this program, IFLC moved to its current location on Queen Victoria Parade in 2012 and became an accredited school within the EREAFSN network.
