Our name, Kivahan, is inspired by the world's first coffee shop, which opened in Constantinople (now Istanbul), Turkey, in 1475. Coffee holds a special place in Turkish culture, where it was even legal for a woman to divorce her husband if he failed to provide her with her daily cup. With this rich history in mind, we search the world over to establish relationships with exceptional coffee farmers and carefully roast their beans to perfection.
